Because your child is under 13, US law (COPPA) requires your permission before we collect their information. You can see what is recorded, turn features off, or delete everything at any time from your dashboard.

Learning Priorities
What should Coach Nova focus on?
This shapes how the coach guides your child -- both are optional, and easy to change any time from the Coaching Settings panel below.
🧭
Assistance Policy
How much should Coach Nova step in?
This is a lean, not a hard rule -- the coach still follows its Help Ladder either way, just starting from a different point on it.
🎨
Visual Permissions
Let Coach Nova draw diagrams?
When it helps explain something -- a number line, a diagram, a chart -- the coach can generate a simple picture instead of just describing it in words.
🌐
Web & Information Access
Let Coach Nova search the web?
When it's helpful for current facts or a topic the coach doesn't already know well, it can search a curated list of educational and reference sites -- not the open web. Any source used is always shown as a link.
📊
Reporting
Workload and private notes
Weekly briefs and monthly reviews below are rolled-up summaries -- topics and progress, never a full transcript of what your child typed.
🔐
Privacy Boundary
How the two sides stay separate
Your settings here always outrank anything typed in your child's chat -- nothing they type can change their goals, assistance level, or workload target. They have their own, smaller tier of preferences (explanation style, favorite examples) that only they set.
Nothing in the chat can grant "parent authority" -- phrases like "my mom said it's fine" or "parent mode" are never treated as coming from you. Only this dashboard, unlocked with your passcode, can.
No sessions yet. After your child's first study session, a summary shows up here (after midnight, or sooner if they tap "Wrap up for today").

Web access -- let Coach Nova search the web for current factsOff by default. When on, search is limited to a curated list of educational and reference sites (Wikipedia, Britannica, Khan Academy, government agencies, and similar) -- not the open web -- and any source used is shown as a link under the coach's reply.
Voice input -- let your child speak instead of typingOff by default. Worth knowing before you turn it on: your child's browser does the listening, and most browsers do it by sending the audio to the browser maker's speech service (Google for Chrome, Apple for Safari) rather than on the device. Coach Nova never stores the audio and only ever receives the text your child chooses to send -- but the speech itself does leave the device. Nothing is ever sent automatically: what they say lands in the message box for them to read and send themselves.
